This little diddy has been going through my head for the last couple of days. The move was back breaking, hard and at times brought a few tears to my eyes but thanks to some great friends and wonderful family we made it and it's on to the next chapter. Darren and I worked our butts off getting everything packed away and sorted for long term (stays in storage til we find a house), short term (stays in storage until my parents house is done), and immediate (over to Darren's sisters house, where we'll be for the next 2 weeks). We made soooo many trips to the storage unit that I can probably make the trip in my sleep - in fact I probably did a few times! Sunday was our last day in the house and it was really hard for me as I realized this wouldn't be my house anymore. We put so much into it and now we were walking away...really? It will be hard for a little bit, but I'm really looking forward to what lies ahead for us. Darren and I can't agree on what direction to go next but I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to talk him into buying a fixer-upper and letting me design a beautiful home for us. (He's wanting to buy a newer home, is that even a word?) Life should be a little less crazy for me now and I'm going to enjoy this time of little responsibility and worries...knock on wood.
