What a weekend...

Friday night we celebrated Reilly's birthday (she's turning 10 on the 12th) with a sleepover/late-night. We had 11 girls ages 9-11 over for games, pizza, dancing, a movie and giggles. Reilly had so much fun and I think the treat for all the girls was the "scary" story provided by my dad at midnight. Darren and I were almost asleep around midnight and were startled by the "blood-curdling" screaming coming from downstairs. My dad came home from a late night movie and laid down on the floor with the girls to tell them one of his stories and judging from all the high pitched screams that made their way up to our room the girls really had a good time. I don't think they actually fell asleep until after 1 in the morning. One of the girls couldn't spend the night so she came back bright and early in the morning ringing the doorbell waking everyone up. AHHHHH!!!!! The next day was our 13th wedding anniversary and with everything going on we decided to keep it low key with just dinner and a movie (and some shopping in between...hehehe - imagine Darren's eye rolls here - fun for me, NOT fun for Darren). It ended up being a nice "celebrating" weekend and I'm already looking ahead to next weekend, Father's Day. Having both Darren and my Dad here makes it a double load but it should be fun.

Em-

That must of been fun having a sleepover for Reilly. You must be getting a taste of what it would of been like for Mom and Dad for all of us girls. She is getting so old, she is such a bright and beautiful girl.
You forgot to mention that Joe will be there for Father's Day (even though he is not a "Father" yet), he is always forgotten in our family...jk!

Finally. 4 days and no posts. I was begining to worry. Well it sounds like you had a pretty full weekend. I can't believe that Reilly is already 10! Happy Birthday from your favorite aunt. I was wondering with Mom moving up to Utah do you think that next birthday maybe Reilly will want to have a Mary Kay makeup party? Just a suggestion. he he. Trace will you be making an announcement on Father's day? j/k. So true. Poor Joe. I never forget him but I'm sad you won't be down in Cali for Sophie's blessing. maybe next time but just for the record Joe was invited.

I love the photo of you and Darren - you guys look great! I can hardly believe Reilly or "Rally" as Aunt Martha would say, is already 10. Happy Birthday Reilly the PRETEEN! Yeah! I loved sleep overs - did anyone cry (you know there is always drama with young girls). LOL - I think someone cried at every sleep over I had. lolol... that's funny.
