Ahhh...I just had my first facial in 33 years and it was amazing. This seems to be a year of firsts for me. For my birthday in March my friend Heidi took me for my first massage and again - AMAZING. Darren has offered "spa" days for me in the past but I always thought it was too indulgent and I would rather spend the money elsewhere. Well what a difference 4 kids, getting older and appreciation for quiet time makes. I love the whole "taking time for me" thing and it's definitely at the top of my wish lists now. I immediately called Darren after my facial and hinted around about how much I loved it and couldn't wait to do it again...anniversary in 3 days maybe? Anyways, I'm all for spa days and can't wait for my next one. I'm going for the package deal: massage, facial and pedicure. What's better then that?

Em- you better call me next time you go. The massage I had on Satursday was the first one in like 7 years. I've never had a facial... and a all-in-one spa day sounds divine. You can't forget me next time you go!
Us Sorensen sister never have had a problem at hinting to what we want or even outwardly giving suggestions for up coming gift ideas, do we? I've been giving Jake major hints since Tess & now Sophie is born that I want "mothers rings (kids birthdstone)" or a "push presents" for my girls(ie. diamond ring for my right hand). There's no shame in that, right?
my first facial wasn't a great experience. I had a date with john and I wanted to especially beautiful... well the lady poked at my face so much I looked like I the measles. John was nice and said he didn't notice - then when my friend walked in she said, "OH MY GOSH! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE?" I've had better ones since.

Paul gave me a certificate for a massage, body wrap, and pedicure for Valentine's. I haven't gone yet. I don't even want my husband to see me naked and he's vastly responsible for the stretchmarks, etc! Maybe I'll trade it for facials, pedicures, or manicures.
