What a Week I Had

Well, I just returned from Girls Camp and I had so much fun. I knew that our YW presidency was changing so I tried to enjoy this time with the girls and the other YW leaders. We had some professional campers as our YW camp leaders which made it all the better. I had so much fun playing with the girls and talking with the other leaders. We had water fights daily (don't mess with me or you will get wet) and on Thurs. we trekked to a lake nearby for swimming and "canoe-ing". The rule was that no one could go in the water without a life jacket so I thought I had outsmarted everyone wanting to throw me in the lake by simply not putting my life jacket on. I don't know what happened but before I knew it one of the camp leaders had one of my arms through the jacket and with the help of some more-then-willing young women they managed to get my other arm through and pushed me in the lake face first. I'm sure it looked more painful then it felt. That started it, the game was on. It was a lot of fun and luckily there were no injuries. Testimony meeting was great as always and it ended up being the best camp that I have been to as a leader (this was number 3 for me). Camp ended on Fri. and our presidency was released on Sun. I'm still the second counselor and our Mia Maid advisor stayed but everyone else is new. I'm excited, anxious, scared and a little nervous for this new presidency simply because our last one was so good. The girls liked us and we all liked each other which is hard to come by. I'm hoping that with this new presidency I'll still feel as comfortable to be myself as I was with this old one. It's been an emotional day with many phone calls and many tears, I'm just really going to miss my friends. We were so involved in each others "going-on's" and no matter how hard you try it'll never be the same. YW requires so much of your time it becomes a big part of your life. I love it so much and I'm so grateful I have more time with my girls:)
