Ode to Christmas 2007
The stockings are down
Though not put away
It's been a busy week
But a lot of fun I must say
We had a family party
On Friday the 21st
Between cousins, aunts and uncles
My house was about to burst!
Saturday was busy
A temple sealing for Darren's brother
That night we saw "Savior of the World"
The spirit was like no other
Sunday, well we rested
We had a quiet family dinner
We played a few card games
And yes...I was a winner!
Monday was Christmas Eve
Still a lot of shopping left to do
Hitting all the stores
But by 4 o'clock we were all through
Christmas morning we woke early
Down the stairs we did go
The kids loved to open presents
And our house was buried in snow
We headed to the movies
A favorite family treat
We picked Alvin and the Chipmunks
They had a rockin' beat
Wed. night we partied
With the Vassell's, our good friends
I made a yummy dinner
And played games to the bitter end
Thurs night we rematched
For food and games and more
We headed out to Draper
Vassell's wanted to settle the score
Now all the festivities are ended
There's only one job left to do
We sold our house...HOORAY!
It's non stop packing now, boo hoo.
We look forward to this new year
Where we are going, well who knows?
I hope it's somewhere close by
Otherwise, well...that blows!
Hope you all had a good one
Enjoyed your family and friends
Take in this spirit of Christmas
And pray the feeling never ends.

Nice job! Congrats on selling the house. Dane's favorite line of your poem: "That blows!" He nearly choked on popcorn, he was laughing so hard.
That is a great poem! Do your talents never cease? Good luck with all the packing...I find packing time to be the best purging time.
Em, you are awesome! Thanks for the great party--wish we could have stayed late into the night!
You sounded just as busy as us! Now it's time to exhale.
Congrats on the big sell! I can't wait to see the new place you guys pick!
That's great you've sold your house. How about Orem??? Okay, just don't move too far away. Thanks for the party time! and yummy food!

Very well done, Em. Wish we could have been together.
