Where To Begin...?

I just finished New Moon (the sequel to Twilight) and before I start the third book I thought I'd better catch up on everything else -blog included. A lot has happened around my neck of the woods these past few weeks. Reilly and Jacob started school last week and they seem to really like their teachers and their classes. They both come home everyday talking about new friends they made and the fun things they do at recess. It makes me happy that they are so happy at school.

Evan just started kindergarten at Renaissance Academy and he seems to like it so far. I was spoiled last year having a bus pick him up and bring him home everyday for preschool - this year I'm driving to the school 3x a day! Monday is dress for success day at school where the kids have to wear white shirts and navy bottoms to school so Evan got a taste of full uniforms on his very first day. I was worried that he would object to the tie but he was fine with everything. He actually wanted to wear it the next day but he settled for a regular polo instead. (The kids wear polos in school colors the rest of the week with either navy or khaki bottoms.) Anyways, it's only been two days of kindergarten and my heart still melts when I drop him off at this big school but he's happy so I'm happy:)

Reilly started competition soccer this year with the Lehi Strikers. I wasn't really sure how it would compare to the city soccer she has played the past 3 years and I'm still overwhelmed with the amount of practices she's been attending. They practice two times a week for about 1.5 hours and she is dripping with sweat when she's done but she always has a smile on her face and says she still loves it. She's a different person out on the field and really is aggressive at coming to the ball and not waiting for the ball to come to her. (I'm sure my yelling from the sidelines doesn't give her much of a choice in the matter though) Last night was her first official game and they lost 0-3 but she didn't seem too disappointed - she's has the best personality for any kind of sport...works hard, enjoys the game, listens to her coach, and never takes a loss too hard - what more can I ask for?

And last but not least we just put our house on the market...yikes! We started building our home almost 5 years ago and we love it but we feel like it's time to move. We aren't sure where we are going yet, we want to stay nearby, but we are keeping our options open. Right now the market is the worst it's been EVER! so of course that's when we decide to put it up for sale (just like buying our gas guzzling suburban right before the price of gas went through the roof) but we feel strongly that what ever is meant to happen will happen so we aren't too worried...yet. The most frustrating thing about selling is the fact that I need to get my house looking magazine perfect every stinkin' morning so on the off chance someone wants to come by I'm not terribly embarrassed. Wish me luck on maintaining my sanity!!!!

That's it for now and I'll probably keep a low profile while I read the third book in the Twilight series, Eclipse, but then I'll be back with a vengeance - blogging like I've never blogged before - well at least better than I've been these past two weeks that is.

Wow! That's a lot to take in in just one post. I must say Reilly looks beautiful in her uniform. Paige starts AYSO in a couple weeks - she is excited. I can't believe you guys are selling your beautiful home. I'm sure with the slow market it will still sell quicker than most homes. You just keep it so lovely and all. And as far as the books go - finished New Moon last Saturday and took a few days off to clean up (I was neglecting most things) and I just started Eclipse last night. I'm only 150 pages in, but I can tell I'm going to really like this one.

YOur selling your house?!?!?! Wow, that's neat. I don't envy you the task of keeping it clean. yikes! Sometimes I wish my kids were doing the uniform thing, but man is it alot of work and chance getting into one of the charter schools. I read all about it! We definitely need a big sit down after you read eclipse!

I am impressed that you have so much going on and are staying sane. Evan looks adorable in his dressed for success uniform. I like the idea of uniforms alot. Reilly manages to look tough and sweet at the same time. Go, Reilly!

Evan couldn't look cuter and so successful too! I'm glad Reilly is a good sport. Dad went to many more soccer games than I did -- I'm sorry to confess I'm not a very good sport. When Tracy was a goalie, I felt myself get angry when the other team scored a goal -- and cheered on top of it. It's good to know Reilly got her Dad's competitive spirit and her mom's ability to just enjoy the game.

About your house -- I'm starting to get the picture. In a few months, I plan to move to town -- so now your house is up for sale! Seriously, I hope you look at houses in Cedar Hills. It will be so much fun!

If you wouldn't mind sending me a copy of Darren's resume, there are just a few places I would like to drop it off here in Denver, CO. Come on! At least give us a chance now that you're selling your house! (You know you really don't want to be that close to Mom and Dad...) But, seriously, send me the resume...! (Don't make me make one up.)
