Gonna Go Back, Back, Back To School...

Gone are the days of sleeping in and watching cartoons in the morning. Gone are the days of swimming at the pool and playing with friends for hours on end...but, gone are the days of hearing "I'm bored" at 9:30 a.m. (and again every half hour after that). Gone are the days of fighting over the computer, the tv, the chores, the friends...well at least until 3 o'clock rolls around. School started today and Reilly and Jacob were excited - to say the least. Reilly is starting the 5th grade and Jacob will be in the 3rd grade and they both seem to love going back to school. They met their teachers at back to school night last week and are excited for their new classes. Their teachers seem really nice and are all so young (or am I just getting so old?) Evan won't start kindergarten until next week - he asks me hourly how many more days and actually tries to barter down the days. I love that the kids wear uniforms - it makes for such easy mornings, but I'm not sure how Evan will do with this new concept. Considering he only wore about 4 different shirts this summer (out of about 20 to choose from) it's going to be interesting to see how he does with this new concept. I'm hoping that once he gets accustomed to the choices it will actually be very comforting for him to wear the same things over and over. I enjoyed our summer more then I thought I would - but I sit hear with a huge smile on my face as I listen to the silence of my two younger ones doing a puzzle in the other room - no fighting (at least for now!)

Reilly will be in 5th grade? I can hardly believe it. Have girls her age started developing an attitude? I'm starting an Access class at IVC tonight. I'm a little unnerved but not too bad.

That sounds nice Em... what are you and Ryann going to do with all of this free time? You have to post a picture of the kids dressed in uniform, backpacks, lunch bags and all. I'm waiting...

Do they go to a private school? I didn't know your kids wore uniforms to school. Very interesting.
